Anna Matuozzo is a Neapolitan atelier founded by Anna Matuozzo. The atelier makes bespoke and made-to-order shirts. All Anna Matuozzo shirts are manufactured in Naples. They feature moderately thick mother-of-pearl buttons (3 mm. thickness, Australian MOP, handsewn, shanked, crow foot stitching), singe-needle stitching, fused or non-fused collars, bar tacks (2 bar tacks instead of gussets + bar tacks at sleeves gauntlets) and removable collar stays. There are several hand passages: buttons, buttonholes, armholes, placket (partially), bar tacks (travetti), pick-stitching on collar and shoulders. Bespoke shirts can feature more hand passages (+ hand-attached collar and hand-stitching along side seams). Of course, the fabric is always cut by hand. Sleevs are sewn at the end of the manufacturing process. Yokes are non-split.
Anna Matuozzo uses high quality 2-ply cotton fabrics including those woven by David & John Anderson in Italy. Yarn numbers: 100/2 – 240/2. There are lots of classic patterns (checks, stripes) and colours. Weaves: poplin, twill, end-on-end, oxford, pique. Buttoned cuffs, French cuffs. Collar shapes: Kent, button-down, spread, pin (‘vintage’). Sizes (MTO): 14.5 – 18.5 in. (= 37 – 47 cm); regular and slim fits.
