New & Lingwood shirts

New & Lingwood is an English menswear label established by Miss Elisabeth New and Mr Samuel Lingwood in 1865. The brand offers bespoke, made-to-measure and ready-to-wear shirts. Bespoke and made-to-measure shirts are made in the UK; ready-to-wear shirts are made outside the UK. New & Lingwood shirts feature thin troca (ready-to-wear) or mother-of-pearl (bespoke) buttons, single-needle stitching, gussets, non-fused collars and split yokes (cut not on the bias). The brand uses high quality 2-ply fabrics (100% cotton / sometimes 100% linen 1-ply). There is no hand-stitching. Sleeves are sewn on as usual.
