Caruso is an Italian classic menswear brand, which was founded by Raffaele Caruso in 1958. Caruso shirts are made in Italy. They have mother-of-pearl buttons (thickness about 3 mm.; sewn on by machines), gussets. MOP comes from French Polynesia. Collars are fused if we’re speaking about dress shirts; non-fused in case of informal shirts. Side seams are single-needle stitched; yokes are non-split. There is no hand-stitching. Sleeves are sewn on at the end of the manufacturing process. The brand uses nice cotton, linen and cotton+linen fabrics.
Caruso shirts are offered in several classic colours and patterns. Colours and shades: white, cream, grey, blue, navy, olive. Patterns: checks, stripes, solids. Weaves: poplin, twill / herringbone, chambray / end-on-end. Sizes: 14.5 – 18 in. (= 37 – 45 cm). Slim fit (but not very slim). Often darted. Barrel cuffs, French cuffs. Collar shapes: grandad, penny, wing, Kent, camp.
