Mazarin is a French brand of high quality socks. It was founded by Alain Stark. Mazarin dress socks are knitted in Italy by machines with up to 240 needles. There are also English-made sport socks designed for shooting, hunting, hiking, horse riding. Only high quality raw materials are used: 100% Egyptian cotton (mercerised / fil d’ecosse); 72% mercerised cotton + 26% polyamide + 2% elastane; 100% silk, 30% silk + 70% cashmere; 75% wool + 25% nylon; 80% merino wool + 20% nylon; 80% extrafine and supersoft merino wool + 20% nylon; 70% wool + 18% mercerised cotton + 12% nylon; more rarely: cashmere, camel wool, alpaca, vicuna wool, yak wool. All Mazarin socks feature hand-linked toes.
Mazarin offers over-the-calf socks in virtually all colours: lilac, orange, light blue, mid blue, navy blue, green, red, beige, bordeaux, burgundy, purple, violet, yellow, grey… Most Mazarin socks are offered in solid colours, but you can also find bird’s eye and striped socks. There are up to 13 sizes available (for UK 2 – UK 15 shoe sizes, though most socks are available for UK 5 – UK 12), so some Mazarin socks can be worn by children as well.
