Canclini is an Italian mill based in Lombardy (Italy) and founded in 1925. Canclini shirtings are made in Italy, but there are some rumours about Chinese production (link). Besides, there is a production unit in India (link). All Canclini fabrics comply with Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Canclini uses long and extra-long staple Egyptian cotton (including Giza 45 / at least sometimes), silk, cashmere and linen. The company offers 1-ply and 2-ply fabrics (mercerised). Yarn numbers: 60/1 – 300/2. Weaves: poplin, denim, twill, herringbone, oxford, royal oxford, end-on-end, chambray.
The range of Canclini fabrics includes more than 800 shirtings available for immediate dispatch. There are lots of designs (various stripes, check, solids, flower and fancy prints). Canclini shirtings are used by Beckett Robb, Ben Sherman, G.Inglese, Lanieri, Ledbury, Proper Cloth, Simone Abbarchi, Suitsupply, Xacus and several other manufacturers.
